Abstract

The current study title “Impact of nutrition education in increasing awareness regarding health care of children in the urban slums of Patna District” were conducted in the area of urban slums where there were lack of basic facilities available to live a healthy life. The problems were observed at the first site. There was no proper drainage system, no proper sanitation and hygienic practices available. Health status of children depends on healthy living condition, proper, adequate and balanced diet. Children living in such area might get infected and the results is thus even they were getting good balanced diet were get infected and the children who were having high immune power can survive. Thus nutrition education will help to provide good health of children by providing knowledge regarding sanitation, hygiene and nutrition to mothers of children. Poor sanitation, lack of knowledge regarding nutrition, and during illness less feeding is also responsible for morbidity and mortality. The motto of Poshan Abhiyan has to be followed.
