A Case Report: Solid Pseudopapillary Tumor of the Head of the Pancreas in a Pregnant Woman

Solid pseudopapillary tumor (SPT) of the pancreas is a rare tumor which account for only 2.5% of all resected pancreatic neoplasm. Though exact pathogenesis of SPT is unknown but it has preponderance among young and middle-aged female population. There is still an enigma regarding optimal management of SPT in pregnant lady. Here we report a case of solid pseudopapillary tumor in the head of the pancreas in a 34 years old pregnant female. Pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) was performed successfully after term delivery.
